PET THE DOG NICELY, CAL
Over Thanksgiving we kept a neighbors' dog, Sophie. She was adorable and very used to being around children - thank goodness! Cal absolutely loved her since she was one of the few things he has seen smaller than him. But he took some coaching to learn how to pet her nicely.

NIGHTY NIGHT!

The Day Cal Switched Teams
I think we can now pinpoint it to the day after Thanksgiving 2007. This was the day the Texas Longhorns lost a pathetic game to Texas A&M (2nd year in a row) at exactly the same time the Arkansas Razorbacks beat the #1 team in the nation (LSU). Cal took it seriously and promptly learned to "call the hogs" with a passion. See for yourself.

THANKSGIVING

This year we were grounded from travel for the holidays so Grama and Grampy Phillips came to see us. We had a nice dinner at home with them and our old family friends, Sue and Ed Harris, who hosted our wedding in their home. As usual we were all entertained by the little man.
