Awesome video of mom and Cal jumping off the high dive together. Mom is much more excited about it than Cal, age 3.Quick clip of Cal doing his Geronimo impression.

More lake weekend photos. Shade of super cool teenagers who won't acknowledge their parents and a super model who won't acknowledge the media.

MEMORIAL DAY WKEND - LAKE BRIDGEPORT

We were so lucky to be invited to spend Memorial Day weekend at our friend Mindy Montford's lakehouse on Lake Bridgeport near Fort Worth. Like everything the Montfords own, it was the lap of luxury and we had a fantastic getaway with the kids. The boys loved riding on the boat, were great and fearless swimmers. They are getting right with the program this year. Cal loved jumping off the boat into the water while we were anchored in the middle. The boathouse has a diving board on the 2nd (or 3rd) story depending on how you count and Mike & I were the only ones who were NOT surprised when Cal jumped at the opportunity to jump off with mama. That kid is still a stuntman in training. We also rode a jet ski which he wanted to go "faster! faster!" Griffin loves to nap on a boat which is nice. He also loved floating in his lifejacket and playing with the bug vaccuum & storage box which they got as a Memorial weekend trip toy. They also got to watch part of "Star Wars" with the big kids who were there which may have been a mistake. We've been inundated with talk about stormtroopers, darth vader and light sabers ever since. Being a huge fan, I'm not nearly bothered by this as I should be.

LAST SOCCER GAME, Spring 2010

So Cal finished his first seasons with a bang - 3.5 goals (I give him credit for one that was a long straight shot that hit the goal post & bounced off but was quickly tapped in by a teammate) and hustle that wouldn't stop. He was a huge contributor his last few games and seems to have found his focus. By the last game, he stayed with the ball constantly, stole it from the other team, and stayed focused until he scored. Mike had taken over the role of co-coach after our official asst coach flaked out after the first game. He was amazingly patient with the kiddos and incredibly impartial. It was a great start to a long, successful soccer career that we're sure will flourish into a college scholarship. Hey...we can dream. Look for #45 in the dark blue jerseys that mom personally took - true story!

Griffin was also an amazing cheerleader. Despite wanting to be on the field with Cal the whole time, he was awesome at sitting patiently on the sidelines with mom and clapping for the team. He took over the field at half time so Griff could kick the ball around and brush up on his skills. Mostly he enjoyed the snacks and sitting with his friend Logan, the younger brother of Cal's best friend from school and teammate, Brady. They are 4 peas in a pod.

VISIT WITH NANA & BIG DADDY

The boys were thrilled to have a visit from their Nana & Big Daddy. We had not seen them in almost three months which is a long time in a toddler's world. They were here for Big Daddy's birthday which is just about a week after Mike's so there was a lot of celebrating. Big Daddy chose Amy's ice cream for his poison of choice. No one complained. There were playgrounds, bubble baths and bedtime stories. And the morning after they left, Griff asked for his Nana the first time mommy told him "no" to something. Hopefully, they'll be back soon.
