THE BIG SPOOKY DAY IS FINALLY HERE

It seems like we have been talking about Halloween forever. And in fact Cal spent a week and a half "practicing" his trick or treat skills (see video here). The big day finally came and Cal was THRILLED to show off his Curious George costume. Griffin was not as excited about his hand-me-down I MEAN PERFECTLY GOOD TIGGER COSTUME. But he looked adorable. We started with a Halloween party at Cal's school in the afternoon. Then mom & dad traded off taking Cal door to door and manning the candy basket with Griffin. We ended the night at our neighbors' Halloween party where Cal played "pile on" with the big kids twice his age all night - "AWESOME!" (direct quote). Very fun night for all since booze was coincidentally served at the party.

HORSING AROUND

Griffin is finally getting big and stable enough that he & Cal can actually play together without Cal almost killing him with every attempt. I got some great photos of one of their best moments together playing on a push/ride on toy around the house. Take a look. Griffin almost lost a leg but managed to escape unscathed.

9 MONTHS OLD AND CRUISING

Griff has figured out that if he wants to keep up with his big bro, he better get off his butt. He is actively cruising and looking like he will want to walk pretty quick. And we thought he would more laid back...

TX-OU v 3.0
We made our annual trek to Dallas for the TX-OU game in October. We stayed with Uncle Russ & Aunt Amy & cousin Russell and Gramma & Bippy joined us. Gramma & Bippy babysat while the rest of us enjoyed the game. The boys had a blast playing together and never missed us. Some of us (SHANNON) enjoyed the game more than others. Hook 'em!

A STAR IS BORN
Perhaps those gymnastics lessons this summer were a mistake. Or perhaps our retirement will be well financed by Cal's future gymnastics career. You be the judge.

BEDTIME IN CAL's WORLD
This is a cute littel video clip that will give you a glimpse of what bedtime is like in Cal's world these days...He sometimes likes to enjoy a midnight snack which is always a cereal bar - you will see him making sweet love to one here. Cal's love of cereal bars is impressive and sometimes frightening. He is also enjoying a big glass of milk - another favorite. On this particular night he is in his pajamas but has inexplicably donned one of his favorite hats - a baseball hat with a bear on it which was a gift from Gramma & Bippy's recent Alaskan cruise. We heard they could see Russia from their porthole. Finally, Cal is enjoying a song book (birthday gift from Nana) with Thomas the Train songs which he particularly likes. Pretty cute stuff all in all.
